An engaging learning platform is provided which will have delegates participating on an interactive level with each other and the facilitator When a SAICA training contract is entered into, there are some training regulations that needs to be adhered to. Trainees need to be aware of their responsibilities in terms of these regulations, as well as their rights in terms of the agreement. The regulations also require employers to train trainees on the standards of professionalism and ethics. The purpose of this course is to address the SAICA requirements for the effective induction of trainee accountants. It will cover the structuring of the profession, including the SAICA contract regulations as well as detailed explanation of the SAICA competencies they need to obtain over the three years

The objectives of this course (especially the Day 2 optional Tall Trees workshop) is to familiarise first year trainee accountants with their new working environment, as well as to equip them with the necessary skills and qualities that will make the trainee both highly trainable and highly productive! After this course (Day 1) delegates should understand that their development is their responsibility, and that they should take the necessary steps to ensure they create the full possible benefit out of their training contract.

All newly appointed trainee accountants to the SAICA environment irrespective of whether they are on a 3, 4 or 5 year contract. Special note: Recruiting trainees who will be completing grade 12 during 2018, will also be able to attend a induction training (Day 1 and / or Day 2) during November 2018 - so plan ahead and book in advance!

Delegates must have the following available on the course day:: a) Own computers (PC or laptop) with Excel and MS Word loaded onto the machine b) Stable internet Connection (Wi-Fi or 3G) with sufficient data for the two days c) Headset (microphone, speakers) for each delegate d) Webcam (external or built-in) – recommended e) Google Chrome loaded onto the machine (breakout functionality) For the engagement activities and online tools, other devices such as the iPad and iPhone are NOT recommended. Please ensure that you are logged in 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.

Course changes / cancellations A minimum of TEN students is required in order to run a course. ProBeta Training reserves the right to change the date or cancel an advertised course without liability. ProBeta’s liability in the event of cancellation will be limited to a refund of the course fee. Any such changes will be communicated at least two weeks prior to the course day by the course administrator. Registered delegates will be contacted via e-mail or mobile contact numbers. A 15% administration fee will be charged on all cancellations. All cancellations must be received in writing 8 working days before the event (course). Thereafter the full training fee is payable. Delegate substitutes are welcome at any time. Course fee changes ProBeta Training cannot be held responsible for any deviations in price from time to time. Pricing will also be confirmed on the individual booking form, course confirmation as well as per invoice issued.
