In the recently released draft CA2025 competency framework, SAICA reaffirmed their commitment to prioritise Ethics in their CPD programme. SAICA even started a whistleblower hotline following member requests. Members can now anonymously report contraventions of or failures to comply with any requirements of the SAICA Code of Conduct (SAICA Code) and / or By-laws. Tip-offs Anonymous, the whistleblower hotline, is independently managed and the details are available on SAICA’s website. This webinar aims to debunk some myths around whistleblowing and discuss some practical considerations around the act of whistleblowing.

Enhance ethics competence of professionals through various methods such as dialogue, stimulation of moral awareness through discussion of current research performed in this arena.

During this webinar we will discuss the following: - Moral courage: What is the ethical and effective leader to do? - Why leaders fail: exploring the darkside - Is there a right and wrong way of blowing the whistle? - Protection for whistle-blowers (legislation) - NOCLAR and whistleblowing fears - Speaking out and the consequences
