The course is designed for delegates who have prior university knowledge on auditing concepts surrounding internal control. The purpose of the course is to enable delegates to apply and extend this embedded knowledge to successfully demonstrate acceptable performance in all the competencies as defined below. Formative and summative layouts are used to test and analyse the delegates comprehension of knowledge. The delegates will be required to actively participate in formative learning in the form of case studies, pen and pencil tests, discussions and performance tasks. The performance tasks will require the delegate to create or take an action related to a problem surrounding internal control. An electronic summative evaluation is conducted upon the conclusion of the course in a highly controlled environment. The appraisal is in the form of multiple choice questioning techniques. This is effective for testing knowledge and for problem-solving in convergent subject areas. An engaged learning platform is provided which will have delegates participating on an interactive level with each other and the facilitator. A safe learning environment is created whereby delegates will be introduced to useful interactivity tools such as tests, polls, breakouts and both audio and visual engagement activities. These tools will support the delivery of theory and understanding of the necessary principles of the course on a practical level. On registration, all relevant course material and information will be made available online.
