Company Profile

ProBeta Training has earned international acclaim for its in-depth research and flexible approach to training solutions for the accounting profession.

The company’s origins date back to 1993 when chartered accountant Lynette Badenhorst was appointed training manager of PROS Training, as it was then known. In 2003 PROS Training merged with BETA Training to become ProBeta Accountancy Development.

Nine years later the organisation demerged into three independent companies, one of which was ProBeta Training. Today, the company’s dynamic team of consultants and training professionals trains and assists thousands of professionals in all sectors of the accounting industry from managers, trainees, and partners in public practices to employees of corporate organisations.

ProBeta’s client base is not limited to South Africa, but extends to the neighbouring countries

As a service organisation, the company’s success is based on the superior level of service provided by its highly qualified team of presenters, all of whom are renowned experts in their specific field and invest a substantial amount of time in reading, research and interpretation of new developments in the industry. The presenters are responsible for developing their own course material, much of which is tailored to clients’ unique requirements.

Training is provided through various media, including instructor-led public and in-house courses, webinars, recordings, podcasts and online virtual classrooms. Consequently, there’s no need for any accounting practitioner to feel overwhelmed by the plethora of changes constantly taking place in the industry, because the extensive range of products provided by ProBeta Training ensures that they stay at the international forefront of their profession.

The presenters’ knowledge and dedication to the industry, as well as their passion for training, is the reason ProBeta is acknowledged as the undisputed leader in professional practice support in Southern Africa.
