There has been continuous development in the measures that government departments are taking in order to provide assistance and relief to the country during this time. Businesses and employees are in need of guidance with claiming and administrating of unemployment benefits and other funding made available by government. For this reason, ProBeta Training offers a session to explain and guide you through the labour and taxation options available during this time, with a walkthrough of the administrative process.

The course includes, but is not limited to: • A brief overview of the labour implications regarding options available to the employer and employee • A brief overview of the tax relief incentives granted by SARS • A walkthrough of the administrative process as it is known at the moment (please note that this may be subject to change after our session, and the content covered will be based on most recent developments. Due to the fact that some of these processes are still being developed and changed to accommodate the situation, we can only clarify the process as far as we have information available) • Frequently asked questions on the following: o Deadlines for claiming benefits o Periods for which benefits and incentives should be claimed o Application of the ETI to certain employees o Administration of the ETI on the EMP201 and limitation of amounts to be claimed o Considerations for employees earning commission o Determination of the amount of unemployment benefits and credits o Relief granted by the CIPC for companies o Clarification of the TERS application and administration process o Clarification of the Disaster Benefit Fund application and administration process o Considerations for foreign national employees • Feedback from IRBA on the accountancy and auditing profession regarding essential services.

Investment managers, Financial managers, Tax Practitioners, Auditors, Bookkeepers, Financial accountants, Compliance and HR managers, as well as any individual who wishes to learn how the lockdown will impact on businesses and individuals alike.
