• Have you hired new staff and need them to sharpen their Excel skills? • Are you finding Excel to be frustrating, not knowing how to get things done effectively and efficiently? • Do you feel you are lacking Excel support? Start your Excel journey well! Join us as we help give new Excel users a back-to-basics foundation in using Microsoft Excel. NOTE: This is a practical session whereby the presenter will demonstrate various Excel functions and features.

Enabling delegates to: o Open and create Excel workbook files o Use the Excel interface o Enter and edit data in a variety of ways o Understand basic formulas and functions o Use the new Quick Analysis feature o Format worksheets and data o Print and share workbooks

• Introduction: Terminology / layout and interface / move or copy sheets / Status Bar / Print Preview / Formatting / Format Painter / various ways to Paste data • Recovering Lost Documents: Saving documents / Attaching to emails / Auto-save function / Finding lost documents. • Built in Templates: Budgets / expense tracker / invoices. • Navigating Seamlessly: Freeze panes / Quick access toolbar / How to navigate without a mouse / Line breaks. • Data Editing: Adding filters and sorting • Building Formulae: Useful everyday formulae / functions, Mathematical operators within Excel. • Tables / Graphs: Quick analysis / charts. • Printing: Set print area.

• Delegates that make use of Microsoft Excel as part of their daily work duties in a receptionist capacity or other administrative area. • Delegates that are involved in various finance fields including auditing, accounting, taxation and financial management. • Delegates that prepare reports and need to be able to edit text and numbers.

Delegates must have the following available on the course day: o Own computers (PC or laptop) with any version of Microsoft Excel loaded onto the machine (Preferably Excel 2016 or later) o Proper internet connection (Wi-Fi or 3G) with sufficient data for the day o USB headset with microphone and speaker Webcam (external or built-in) For the engagement activities and tools, other devices such as the iPad or iPhone are not recommended. Please ensure that you are logged in 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.

Delegates should be familiar with using personal computers and have used a mouse and keyboard. Delegates should be comfortable in the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on his / her own computer.
