Professional accountants in practice will have access to all types of information to be able to provide their services. From tax services to accounting services and audit services, personal information will form a large part of the information processed. This personal information can sometimes be very sensitive and of a confidential nature. Professional accountants have the duty of confidentiality, but also the duty of acting in the public interest. On top of this, POPI requires professional accountants to process personal information in compliance with the POPI Act. Join us in this informative interactive session as we specifically focus on the impact of POPI on professional accountants. We will answer questions such as: Do you need consent? Are you allowed to share information? What information may you receive from what sources? This session will be 2.5 hours with a 30 minute Q and A session at the end
