When it comes to corporate governance, there is no better guidance than the King Code. As South Africa’s first corporate governance code, it has assisted companies with improving governance since 1994. The King Code IV, introduced in 2016, defines corporate governance in South Africa and provides directors with a framework and practices to implement to ensure sound governance.
