This practical training equips audit professionals to use Artificial Intelligence responsibly and ethically. It explores AI risks, governance expectations, and how to apply an AI Policy that protects audit quality, independence, and public interest. Participants will gain practical tools to implement safe AI use in real audit engagements and comply with regulatory expectations.

This course explores how AI is transforming audit processes and the ethical, legal, and professional challenges that follow. It begins with understanding AI risk categories—ranging from data integrity and bias to confidentiality and professional scepticism. The programme then explains why audit firms require a clear AI policy aligned with firm governance and professional standards, including ISA 220 (Quality Management), ISQM 1, and IRBA expectations. Finally, it unpacks policy implementation with real-world templates and guidance, including controls for AI approval, human oversight, risk assessment, audit documentation, and monitoring. Each module includes practical examples, case discussions, and interactive decision scenarios.
