Calling all SAICA training offices with their intake of new trainees.

SAICA training contracts are both an exciting opportunity for new recruits who are seeking to gain CA / AGA accreditation, as well as, a MAJOR stress point if trainees are not well-informed as to their rights and responsibilities under the training contract / regulations.

The SAICA Trainee Induction sessions introduce trainees to the profession and SAICA Training Regulations, and practically demonstrate the completion of the SAICA Assessment Instruments, namely the Learning Outcome Review (LOR) and Professional Development Summary (PDS).

The objective of this session is to introduce the accounting profession to trainees and navigate trainees through the latest SAICA Training Regulations and highlight the important sections applicable to them that could have an impact on their training contract journey. This session tackles what the duties of a trainee are in relation to their training contract.

Secondly, this session is to help trainees understand what the SAICA Assessment Process is all about, how to gather and document evidence on the Electronic Assessment Tool, how they are reviewed / evaluated / assessed, and what their role is, in the process of assessment. This consists of a practical demonstration of how to complete the Learning Outcome Review (LOR) and Professional Development Summary (PDS) from the perspective of a trainee
