Facilitator - Tax & Legal Carmen Westermeyer (Wortmann) began her studies in 1998 with a BCom(Acc) and BCommHons(Acc) from the University of Natal(Durban). She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 and stayed on as Assistant Manager with PwC for a year. Deciding that auditing was not for her, she moved into Commerce. In 2008 she joined UKZN where she taught Tax, taking on the role of Academic Leader: Taxation in 2011. She left the University at the end of 2013 to provide training to practitioners on a full time basis, as well as providing tax consulting services. She is an Associate with Maitland & Associates.
