Facilitator - Residual Skills and MUS Lettie Janse van Vuuren is not your typical chartered accountant! Lettie is passionate about developing people and improving efficiency in the workplace. She is outgoing, has excellent people skills and has the ability to communicate with different people at their respective levels. At SAICA, she was the Professional Development Manager for 4 years, in charge of accrediting new training offices and monitoring existing ones (including the moderation of training offices). Lettie developed and implemented systems and processes to optimise SAICA’s efficiency in this area. She has physically visited almost every single training office within South Africa (and interviewed the trainee accountants), which gives her extraordinary insight into various best practices. At ProBeta, Lettie trained hundreds of audit partners, managers and trainee accountants over the course of 7 years. Her strength was auditing training and soft skills training. She was also involved in the development of the original Probe audit methodology on CaseWare.
