When a formal training contract is entered into, there are some training regulations that needs to be adhered to. Trainees need to be aware of their responsibilities in terms of these regulations, as well as their rights in terms of the agreement. The regulations also require employers to train trainees on the standards of professionalism and ethics.

This course will cover the structuring of the profession, including the various contract regulations, the ethical and professional skills trainees need, as well as detailed explanation of the competencies they need to obtain over the three years.

The objectives of this course is to familiarise first year trainee accountants with their new working environment, as well as to equip them with the necessary skills and qualities that will make the trainee both highly trainable and highly productive!

After this course delegates should understand that their development is their responsibility, and that they should take the necessary steps to ensure they create the full possible benefit out of their training contract. After this course delegates should also have a thorough understanding of the ethical requirements and the professional skills expected of them.

NOTE: This course DOES NOT COVER the Logbook navigation and software specific training pertaining recordkeeping.
