In March 2024 IRBA revised SAAPS 3 which contains Illustrative Audit Report templates for the South African auditing industry.

Accordingly, ProBeta Training has decided to arrange a training session to introduce all the South African Auditing Practice Statements, also known as, SAAPS to auditors and reviewers alike.

Our goal is to bring to your attention the readily available resources that have been published by IRBA to assist when undertaking an audit or review engagement in the South African context.

Ultimately, we want to empower you in knowing when to turn to SAAPS guidance on your audits and reviews.

We will provide an overview of the following South African Auditing Practice Statements (SAAPS):
• SAAPS 2 – Financial reporting frameworks and the auditor’s report
• SAAPS 3 – (updated in March 2024) Illustrative audit and review reports
• SAAPS 4 – Legal confirmations
• SAAPS 5 – Reporting on donor funding engagements
• SAAPS 6 – Bank confirmations
• Other (e.g., SAAEPS – sustainability assurance engagements, SASAE 3502 – engagements on BEE verification certificates)
