Draftworx has a solution to carrying out an engagement on the trust accounts of a property practitioner.

There are two parts to a property practitioner trust account engagement:

  • A compliance audit on the trust account in terms of compliance with the Property Practitioners Act, and
  • An agreed-upon procedures (AUP) engagement on certain aspects of the trust accounts and trust accounting practices of a property practitioner

Introduce you to the engagement process from pre-engagement to finalisation.

Help you know what to do on these engagements by explaining what documents need to be completed and what they contain.

Enhance your quality control by showing you how the template assists in your compliance with the relevant international standards that form part of these engagements, namely:

  • ISAE Attestation (for the trust account compliance audit), and
  • ISRS Agreed Upon Procedures (for the AUP on aspects of the trust accounts)

A demonstration will be performed of the working papers template called ‘Property Practitioner’ used within Draftworx when conducting a property practitioner trust account engagement.

This demonstration will navigate you through the following phases of the engagement, briefly discussing all documents contained within:

  • Pre-engagement
  • Planning
  • Execution (procedures phase)
  • Finalisation

NOTE: both the trust accounts compliance audit and agreed-upon procedures engagement on the trust accounts will be demonstrated and discussed, respectively.
