#CA2025
(Relational Acumen: Self-Management Skills)

Moving towards valued goals or attaining them may increase positive emotions, engagement in skilled activities, development of relationships, meaning and purpose in life, and accomplishments. That is, striving for goals (the journey) and goal attainment (arriving at the destination) both enhance wellbeing

We all have had goals from the day we were born.

  • Sit up.
  • Crawl.
  • Walk.
  • Talk.
  • Feed ourselves.
  • Dress ourselves.
  • Express ourselves.
  • Make friends.
  • Learn.
  • Communicate.
  • Develop relationships.
  • Learn a skill.
  • Get a job.
  • Get married.
  • Have a family.
  • Buy a car.
  • Buy a house.
  • Take a vacation….

Many of these things are milestones that we can only achieve with a plan of action and goal setting.

However, the way in which we define success plays a huge role!

Work-Along Format

This format is designed to bridge the gap between learning and application, ensuring that the concepts we discuss are immediately put into practice.

During the session, I will serve as your dedicated guide, facilitator, and coach, walking you through each step of the process.

How the Work-Along Format Works

  • Real-Time Application: As we explore key concepts, you’ll have the opportunity to work on relevant tasks or exercises in real time. This hands-on approach will allow you to directly apply the material, gaining practical experience that reinforces your understanding.
  • Guided Support: Throughout the session, I’ll be there to support you, offering insights, answering questions, and providing feedback as you work. This ensures that you’re not only learning the material but also developing the skills needed to implement it confidently.
  • Collaborative Environment: You'll be working alongside fellow participants, fostering a sense of community and shared learning. This collaborative environment will encourage the exchange of ideas and best practices, enhancing your overall experience.

In this session we address a very important question:

  • How much do I trust myself
  • reveal my authentic self and employ
  • helpful thought patterns in order to reach my goals?

Goals are objectives that you intend to achieve. Going through life without goals is like getting in your car and driving aimlessly expecting to arrive at your destination without a clue how to get there.

If you had a roadmap or a GPS, you could have gotten there in a reasonable amount of time but because you just drove and drove – maybe you will eventually get there but at what cost?

Moving through life without a roadmap and expecting to reach certain milestones haphazardly is certainly one way to go but if you want to get somewhere quickly and with less energy and time, then set goals, work towards them and you will find yourself exactly where you wanted to be.

In this session, we wil cover, amongst other topics:

  • Goal Setting and Goal Achieving
  • 5 Mistakes we make when we set goals
  • 6 Intellectual Faculties
  • 4 Basic Tree Types and Goal Setting
  • Goal achievement models within the Positive Psychology space
  • Worksheets Introduction
  • BONUS!!

  • Final year Trainees
  • Other trainees, not in their final year, as part of Professional skills development
  • HR managers and Senior Management, as a Team Building session
  • Senior Management, as part of Strategic Planning
  • Any Corporate
