Our goal is to improve your trainees’ grasp of the concept of auditing, by not only simplifying the various auditing principles but also making auditing practical by performing an-assertion based audit simulation of the line items typically faced by a junior auditor

This is a two-day course focused on assisting junior trainees in an audit environment.

Less experienced trainees with very little background / auditing knowledge will benefit from this course by going back to basics on the auditing principles relating to:
- Where to start as a new auditor – asking for a trial balance, schedules, supporting doc’s
- Explaining the audit process, i.e. pre-engagement, execution, finalisation
- Simplifying how assertions work
- Explanation of audit procedures, i.e. reperformance, inspection, observation, recalculation etc.
- Testing a control VS Testing for detail VS Analytical procedures VS External confirmation
- What needs to be documented
- How materiality and risk affect an audit
