Our aim is to present a ‘how to’ approach and to equip trainees on gathering appropriate evidence and then documenting the evidence to meet SAICA’s evaluation criteria.
Our focus will thus not be on the actual navigation within the SAICA assessment tools, but rather to teach the do’s and don’ts when completing these assessment documents.

This workshop will be an engaging session, where delegates are invited to participate in a safe environment, bring along questions and participate in active discussions, pertaining the completion of assessment documents.

• ‘Refresher’ on the use and application of the SAICA Assessment Tools with reference to the SAICA Competency Framework
• Planning for timing, completion and submission of Assessment documents
• Reference to the SAICA CA Training Regulations: ‘what to look out for’ and ‘what to consider’ in certain scenarios
• Applying ratings and decision trees: Dealing with self-rating and responding to reviewer ratings
• Generic Training Plan
• Deep-dive into the TSR Document
• Deep-dive into the PSR Document
• Deep-dive into the ANA document
• Trainee and Training Officer / Reviewer / Assessor responsibilities
• Dealing with criticism and how to respond
• Hands-on tips and guidance
• Motivational talk – breaking through the invisible barriers
• Open Q&A session

All trainees are welcome. Any senior trainee accountants, supervisors/managers, senior managers who are new to the assessment process are also welcome to attend!
