NPC, NPO, PBO and Welfare Organisation - these are all terms which mean something under different legal definitions.The aim of this session is to look at the meaning of PBO and income tax.

1. After attending this course, delegates will have gained an understanding of the competencies mentioned below and must be able to apply the concepts and techniques in all situations and environments:
a. Which entity could be a PBO?
b. What income items are exempt?
c. What information is required on the tax return in respect of non taxable/exempt income?
d. What documentation should I have to support these amounts?
e. Why can some entities issue s18A issue certificates and others cant?

a. What is the difference between PBO, NPC and NPO?
b. If you’re a PBO, what are the tax consequences?
c. The relation of s18A certificates and the above designations.
