*** NEW Self-paced Online learning platform: MySkillsPortal developed for Trainees *** This course includes an online assessment after completion of the course. What is new? • Available 24/7 - enabling delegates to plan their training diary to suit their needs • Continuous online automated assessment to assess one’s own progress during the course • One integrated simulated post-course assessment • Self-paced learning. Revisit concepts, watch videos again and again • All competency skills modules have been revamped • Brand new examples, new exercises and Portfolios for assessment • Bite size modules to pace one’s own development • Lots of additional tools, resources and e-books available for download • Downloadable FREE Mobile App available to learn on-the-go • A portal specifically created for the Trainee in mind – helping to grow our young leaders for tomorrow! • Delegates have 6 weeks, from the purchase date to complete modules and upload PoE files Risk management is a critical business activity that must be attended to by business leaders on an ongoing basis. Trainee accountants must have basic experience and exposure to risk management best practice. The course offers a practical approach in simulating an environment to build knowledge of the business, assessing business and industry related risks and the impact thereof on the audit approach. The course is designed for delegates who have prior university knowledge on auditing concepts surrounding risk management and governance. The purpose of the course is to enable delegates to apply and extend this embedded knowledge to successfully demonstrate acceptable performance in all the competencies as defined below. *** VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: For planning simulations throughout the year *** 1) When you book for a simulation, then you have 6 weeks from the purchase date of the course, to complete the course and upload your PoE file onto MySkillsPortal. 2) After the first 6 weeks have passed, the Assessor has 6 furhter weeks to assess, moderate and complete the assessment report with feedback to yourself and your training officer. 3) For all simulations booked up to and including end October, we will provide feedback on those assessments latest mid December (it might vary depending on when you booked) - that is, if you apply the 6 week submission and 6 week assessment rule [all the rules have been clearly communicated within your course content] 4) For all simulations booked after end October, these assessments will only be made available up to and by February the next year. 5) We can unfortunately not take responsibility for simulations booked very late into the contractual period as the training plan and the way simulations, learning and development are planned, remains the ultimate responsibility of the Training Officer together with the trainee. It would be unfair to cast the later-than-planned (urgent) simulations as a responsibility onto ProBeta Training - especially during the November / December / January period when most training contracts need to be signed off. 6) Urgent PoE assessments: For those trainees who's contracts are due for sign-off between November and December 2020, we do allow a LIMITED NUMBER of fast-track assessments. As communicated per your course instructions, this will however come at an additional fee of R300.00 excl VAT per assessment, to cover administration related time and attendance, urgent and unplanned availability and time and attendance of assessors. We will as far as humanly possible try and accommodate these requests. Please also note that when you submit your PoE file, a level 4 sign-off or 'competent' sign-off is NOT GUARANTEED. We follow the SAICA and SAIPA assessment criteria very strictly to ensure full compliance on our side and also on the Training Office's side. If you have any questions / concerns, please discuss with your Training Officer and contact me to discuss further: lberger@probetatraining.co.za *** All of the above has been clearly communicated on course enrolment ***

After attending the course, delegates will have gained a basic understanding on the competencies mentioned below, and must be able to apply the concepts and techniques in simple, uncomplicated situations or environments. Our ultimate goal is to provide the trainees the necessary training and practical exposure to proof a competency skill level (Competent) at a basic level for this course. This involves a self-paced course attendance, course exercises, post-course work as well as evaluation and feedback. *** VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: For planning simulations throughout the year *** 1) When you book for a simulation, then you have 6 weeks from the purchase date, to complete the course and upload your PoE file onto MySkillsPortal. 2) After the first 6 weeks have passed, the Assessor has 6 further weeks to assess, moderate and complete the assessment report with feedback to yourself and your training officer.
