Ethics in Action equips accountants to bridge the gap between knowing what is right and doing what is right under pressure. Through practical case studies, role-play, and reflection, participants learn to recognise ethical threats, apply the SAICA Code of Professional Conduct, and strengthen integrity, independence, and professional judgment in real-world contexts.

This interactive course integrates personal and professional ethics into a single, practical learning experience. Participants explore how values, culture, and bias shape ethical judgment, and how to apply the SAICA Code’s conceptual framework when facing real ethical dilemmas. The course emphasises hands-on decision-making, reflection, and development of an actionable personal ethics plan.

Key Topics Covered:
• Personal integrity and ethical decision-making frameworks
• SAICA Code of Professional Conduct – Parts 1 & 2 and Section 120
• Recognising and managing ethical threats (self-interest, self-review, advocacy, familiarity, intimidation)
• Professional judgment under pressure and escalation protocols
• Responding to NOCLAR situations
• Building ethical resilience and an action plan for continued compliance

• Professional Accountants (SA),
• Associates,
• Managers in audit or business;
• Ethics and compliance officers; and
• Finance professionals seeking to strengthen their ethical competence and fulfil SAICA’s mandatory CPD requirement for ethics.
