Group Coaching Format

This format is designed to bridge the gap between learning and application, ensuring that the concepts we discuss are immediately put into practice. During the session, I will serve as your dedicated guide, facilitator, and coach, walking you through each step of the process.

How the Group Coaching Works

  • Real-Time Application: As we explore key concepts, you’ll have the opportunity to work on relevant tasks or exercises in real time. This hands-on approach will allow you to directly apply the material, gaining practical experience that reinforces your understanding.
  • Guided Support: Throughout the session, I’ll be there to support you, offering insights, answering questions, and providing feedback as you work. This ensures that you’re not only learning the material but also developing the skills needed to implement it confidently.
  • Collaborative Environment: You'll be working alongside fellow participants, fostering a sense of community and shared learning. This collaborative environment will encourage the exchange of ideas and best practices, enhancing your overall experience.

House rules for a Safe and Interactive Space (PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU COMMIT / MAKE A BOOKING):
1. Cameras on: We encourage turning your camera on to foster connection. We understand if this isn’t possible for everyone, but seeing each other creates a stronger sense of community, trust, and a safe space.
2. Mute when not speaking: Keep your mic muted when not speaking to minimize background noise, but feel free to unmute to share whenever you feel ready.
3. Share with intention: You are welcome to share your stories, reflections, and ideas. Speak from your own experience and allow others to do the same without judgment. Stay curious.
4. Respect Confidentiality: What is shared in this session stays in this session. This session will NOT BE RECORDED.
5. Engage in the Chat: If speaking up feels difficult, use the chat to share your thoughts. Every contribution matters.
6. Stay Present and Engaged: Limit distractions, keep your focus on the discussion, and bring your authentic self to the session.

The intervention is effective because it provides concrete tools and strategies that individuals can use to foster hope in their lives.

Furthermore, it is based on scientific research within the field of positive psychology.

Psychology of hope

  • Participants are introduced to the components of hope (definition, goals, pathways, agency)
  • Completing a 'goal mapping exercise'Participants complete a worksheet addressing the components of hope.
  • This exercise helps enhance cognitive flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Hope visualisationParticipants reflect on their sense of agency or belief in their ability to achieve the goal.

They are encouraged to think about past successes and draw on these experiences to bolster their confidence.

Techniques such as positive self-talk and visualization are introduced to strengthen agency.
